I hate to break it to you but a good chunk of people you enjoy and consume on a daily basis has their content already automated to some extent. But this ChatGPT thing takes it to another level…
What is going on??
"Run for the hills! ChatGPT is coming to take your job!”
That's right, ChatGPT is the newest technology that's going to replace you. No longer will you be needed to answer customer inquiries or respond to customer complaints. ChatGPT can do it all, and it's coming with a vengeance.
So, if you think you're safe in your job, think again. ChatGPT is quickly replacing human employees, and there's no stopping it. What's more, ChatGPT does it all faster, better, and without any of the pesky emotions that humans possess.
The future of work is here, and it looks like ChatGPT is the one to beat. So, if you don't want to be replaced, it's time to start brushing up your skills. Otherwise, you're going to be a part of the past, and ChatGPT will be the future."
How can I use ChatGPT?
Literally for anything.
Writing and explaining code
Doing your homework
Writing your emails
Summarizing a topic for a 5 year old
Write a movie
Automate a chat bot that communicates just like a human
The intro to your Substack (wink, wink)
So, do I still have a job?
For now….
All drama aside, it’s hard to predict what will happen in the next 10-20 years. Prior to this giant step ChatGPT took us to with AI, manual jobs seemed to be more at risk. Robots like Flippy already flip burgers for restaurants. (I passed on the opportunity to invest in 2020, kinda kicking myself right now).
Our job security really depends on how the AI/real human relationship unfolds. Will AI technology take over the lift of our jobs, yet we will still be needed to manage the technology? So maybe our jobs won’t be taken over entirely but they will just change to work with the AI?
A more pessimist view is the possibility of the sentient nature of AI. Unfortunately a lot of empires started with slave labor initially. Will history repeat itself in this new AI empire we just started with ChatGPT?
My opinion is try it out, see where the technology can make your life better, and don’t get fired for using it :) Please don’t start connecting OpenAI to your work software, hiring VAs to run AI to write copy, etc…. “The 4 hr work week” is not well received in Corporate Land, but I like where your head it at.
Xoxo,
Gabrielle
